Portable jabs Kogbagidi, says Olamide is a benefactor

Singing rave of the moment, Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has confirmed his final break up with promoter, Taoreed Quadri (Kogbagidi), insisting that the UK-based promoter is not the person that made him popular.

The Zazu Zee crooner speaking on the rapper, Jahbless’ podcast, Original Intelligence, said he had to spit from Kogbagidi because the promoter has always not been sensitive to his opinions.

“Kogbagidi always dey f*** up. Why? I go tell am say boss, all these things I no like am. You know say me, I get [madness] already. But una go still dey do wetin [I no like]…

“Poco Lee tell Kogbagidi say, ‘Boss, all these things wey this boy dey talk, you no tell me naw.’

“I tell [Kogbagidi] say person dey offend me. I tell am say [Poco] dey vex me, e no answer me, until I wicked [Poco]. Na rubbish now. Because of wetin you wan chop,” he said.

In confirming his split from Kogbagidi, Portable said his promoter is now Ijoba Danku, who is now in charge of finding shows for him. He said Danku, a friend of Kogbagidi, was key in settling his earlier quarrel with Kogbagidi.

He said he is teaming up with Danku because the promoter do not hassle him on his dressing, stressing that money is the only way to dress well, and he doesn’t have the money.

“E (Kogbagidi) dey always want make I dey package, and no be so I be, no be him blow me na God,” he said.

The singer said with the need for more money is ready to release three albums this year, if possible and he is open to singing with anybody that can sing. But he said he hopes to sing with Naira Marley and Pasuma.

Speaking on his journey to the limelight in December 2021 with his hit song Zazu Zeh, featuring star artiste, Olamide, he said Olamide has been a blessing to him.

“Na Baddo sponsor me, na him pay for my video, in fact na him pay for everything,” he said.

The artiste said even though most people see him as not intelligent, he knows what is wrong and what is right. He stated that the current trending song, Zazu Zeh belongs to him but other artistes are trying to claim the song.

“Music na business, you must fight for your right, and you gas to use your head.”(sic)

Portable, who revealed that he grew up in Abuja and has been in music for about ten years with about 400 songs uploaded online.

He said that he attended school but his love for music made him ‘derail’.

“I go school but na music no make me collect certificate. I dey sing hip-hop and fuji and I be Muslim too,” he said.

Revealing more facts about his personal life, he said he has two sons from two women and has many female friends.

“I get plenty girlfriends, because as I blow all of them dey tell me say ‘I love you, I love you’, but e get one girl wey I go like marry, but she don dey mess up too,” he said.

He accused most music promoters of only projecting themselves instead of their artistes.

Portable, in December 2021, took to his TikTok account to express displeasure at the celebrated dancer, Poco Lee’s involvement with his hit record, ‘Zazu Zeh’, stating that Poco Lee had rights to his song and that the track is credited to ‘Poco Lee X Portable X Olamide’ on most streaming sites.

He also claimed that when Olamide brought him on stage to perform ‘Zazu Zeh’ at the Livespot Festival, Wizkid sprayed him $3000, but Poco Lee only gave him $600.
