Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie’s second marriage to Judy Austin Moghalu, an actress is generating controversy including negative reactions within his family.

Yul had caused a commotion on Wednesday when he had a son with Judy and he was already married to her.

May, his first wife of 17 years, in her reaction called down the ‘judgement of God on the latest couple’ just as she unfollowed Yul on Instagram.

Linc, Yul’s elder brother, dissociated himself from this brother’s second marriage and Uche, another elder, revealed that the Edochie family was not in support of Yul’s second marriage.

Yul is the last child of veteran actor Pete Edochie.

May, who has four children with Yul, in a  post in the comment section of her husband’s announcement post, wrote, “May God judge you both.”

She has unfollowed Yul on Instagram even though Yul still follows his wife on Instagram.

Linc, who is also an actor like his brother Yul and their father, Pete, in a retort to a fan’s inquiry about whether he was present when the dowry was being paid for Judy said he wasn’t there when his brother paid the bride price for the second wife.

The fan, with the username @angy_talks01 had asked in Pidgin English, “You see wetin your brother do. You follow them go pay bride price on Sunday abi you no follow? Answer me now.”

And Linc in response replied, “Please don’t piss me off. I wasn’t there.”

Uche, an Artist, on Friday, on his Instagram page, stated that Yul’s second marriage was unfair to May, who did not agree to be part of a polygamous marriage.

“His first wife May, a wonderful woman, and my sister in law did not go into a relationship with my brother agreeing to be part of a polygamous marriage.

“That’s the first problem. So I feel for May. It is not fair on her. My family is not in support. This is not what we do and we are trying our best to console May. What else can we do?” he wrote.

Uche also revealed that Yul was advised against taking a second wife, but his younger brother stuck to his guns because he felt “marrying a second woman is the best way to own up to his mistakes and make things right.”

Posting the picture of his nephew, he further wished the new couple the best of luck.

“This is Yul’s new baby with his new wife. Beautiful boy. Children are a gift from God. It is the circumstances of their birth that gets us all riled up about what’s right and wrong.

“I wish them all luck. Maybe Yul should become a Muslim and shut this circus down. It is said that life is what happens when we are making other plans,” Uche wrote.

Meanwhile, Yul has taken to his Instagram page to hail himself as a “real” man who owns up to his responsibilities while hailing his first wife, May, as his undisputed “number one”.

On Thursday, the actor in an Instagram post, sharing a picture of himself, stated that real men own up and take responsibility.

Writing in Pidgin, he hailed himself, “Na man you be.”

The photo caption read, “Real men own up and take responsibility. Fake men dey hide for back dey run am. EZEDIKE! Na man you be.”

Also, while sharing photos of May, Yul stated that she was his undisputed “number one”.

“Number one @mayyuledochie. Undisputed,” he wrote.

He had a day earlier in a post revealed his new son, Dike saying he was born by his second wife adding that he loves the child as much as he loved his older four children, which he had from his first wife, May.

“It’s time for the world to meet my son. His name is STAR DIKE MUNACHIMSO YUL-EDOCHIE. Born by my second wife, Judy Austin. And I love him so much, just as much as I love my other children,” he wrote.

Yul and May got married when he was 22 years.

May, in November 2021, had shared a cryptic message on Instagram which hinted that she was having a problem in her marriage.

Then she had made a post with the photos of Barack and Michelle Obama in their early years and then when they became the US First family.

“Never forget a woman who helped you to build yourself and stand by you by when you had nothing… if she was with you in hell, be with her in paradise,” the post read.

She captioned the post: ‘Not for this generation.’

Also in a Facebook post on Friday, Yul expressed surprise that the news of his second marriage got him more attention than all his past activities on the entertainment and political fronts.

Writing in Pidgin, he wondered about the over 60,000 comments on his second marriage post.

“So I fit break Internet like this? So I can get over 60k comments on one post? But I dey act film, dey give una Hollywood performances since una no send me. Best voice, una no send me.

“I ran for Governor, una no send me. I’ve been a strong voice for the people, been an activist, I do Endsars, una no send me.

“I wan run for President, una no still send me. But na dis one scatter Internet. Na dis one come make una send me finally. Na waa for una oo,” he wrote.
