The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are alleged to have started a trial separation aimed at “taking time apart to pursue peace” and rebuild their bond.
The news platform, thenews.com.pk, in a report, claimed the royal couple is seriously being affected by negative public criticisms caused by royal family squabbles, business failures and clashing lifestyles.
The platform, quoting a source, said the two were not together as “he (Harry) needs to go find himself. A trial separation may be the only way they can resolve their differences and go forward stronger than ever.”
It stated that the duo’s “marriage and public image have been adversely impacted by nasty fights with his family and the ongoing feud with their family.”
The source explained that the couple had reportedly been “under tremendous financial pressure to fund their lavish California lifestyle. That stress coupled with their emotional issues has likely made life a living hell and pushed them to this separation.”
Meghan is reported to be staying in the couple’s mansion in Montecito, California, USA with the children, while Harry is said to be heading to Africa to film a documentary for Netflix.
Royyal expert Daniela Elser, in the report, claimed that Harry is trying to rediscover himself away from England while Meghan tries to rebuild her acting career so she can “establish her own brand and make millions without her husband!”
Also, another report by RadarOnline said the Sussexes are considering a trial separation to rebuild their bond, having been “gradually worn down after the public backlash of their media tour, failed business deals and continued public disagreements with their family members.”
It said Harry is in Africa, a place he considers his “second home and a place where he feels most like himself,” while Megan has a “new agent determined to keep her booked and busy”.
“For the first time, they are truly on divergent professional paths,” said Daniela Elser, the royal expert.
The new situation was believed to have been induced more by the failure of the couple’s $20 million deal with Spotify, which came to an abrupt end in June.
“They’re trying to figure out what hit them. Harry doesn’t fit in Meghan’s tacky Tinseltown world. He needs to find himself,” a source told the news outlet.
“The hits keep coming for the Sussexes. The Spotify failure was a game-changer.
“The Sussexes are under tremendous financial pressure to fund their lavish California lifestyle, including their $14 million mansion and huge security costs.
“That stress coupled with their emotional issues has likely made life a living hell. Taking time apart on different continents will hopefully help them find whatever they need to move on.”
Harry and Meghan married in May 2018 and relocated to the United States after Meghan suffered widespread criticism in the United Kingdom from the British press and the couple stepped down as working royals in 2020. In May 2019, the couple welcomed Archie, their first child and their second child – Lilibet was born in June 2021.
