Court orders DSS to release Emefiele within 7 days
An Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama, on Thursday, ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to release Mr Godwin Emefile, the embattled Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from detention or charge him to court.
Justice Hamza Muazu, in his judgement, stated that Emefiele’s continued detention without trial amounted to a gross violation of his fundamental human rights.
