Popular pastor, Prophet Chinyere slumps at airport, as congregation calls for prayers

Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the founder of Omega Power Ministries, on Friday, slumped at an airport over an undisclosed illness and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
A viral video circulated across social media platforms shows Chinyere was seen lying on the floor at the airport.
The church in a post on its verified Facebook page stated that the cleric was unconscious but was later revived. It called on all to put him in prayers.
“Please let us all endeavour to put our Father in the Lord in our prayers,” it read.
The Port Harcourt- based cleric is well popular for his philanthropic gestures, some of which later turned controversial.
He gave the two members of the Happy Boys scholarships to study in Cyprus after they were sacked from their security jobs by their employer, Chicken Republic, for dancing while on duty. The two boys later claimed they were abandoned abroad by Chinyere. But the church claimed that because of the high exchange rates it was discontinuing its foreign scholarship and advised all recipients to transfer to schools in Nigeria or the Republic of Benin.
Another controversial one was the relocating of the late Deborah Samuel’s parents to Port Harcourt renting them a three-bedroom flat rent and gifting them a car. But the couple later alleged that the gifts were discontinued. But the church has since denied the accusations.
