Funke Akindele’s ‘Battle on Buka Street’ still biggest box hit at over N668 million
Actress Funke Akindele’s latest movie ‘Battle on Buka Street’, has grossed N668 million at the box office.
This was reported by a verified Twitter account @the49thstreet, which reported that the film has made N668,423,056.
The latest news has thrown Akindele into a joyous mood, who reacted by reposting the same on her Instagram page, expressing her absolute happiness with gratitude to God over the progress of the movie.
She wrote: “GOD DID!!!! #battleonbukastreet will be on prime video on the 16th of June!!”
She revealed that the comedy-drama film would be available on Prime Video on June 16, 2023.
“Battle on Buka Street” is a story of two women who, after a lifetime of antagonism, started food enterprises on the same street and find themselves at odds again, especially as they battle for the coveted title of “King of Buka Street,” which is awarded to the greatest local food vendor in the area.
The film, since its release on December 16, 2022, has been a box office hit both nationally and internationally. It was the highest-grossing movie in theatres across the country last year.
The movie was jointly produced as a collaboration between Funke Ayotunde Akindele Network (FAAN) and FilmOne Entertainment.
