PDP wins Plateau Governorship election

Caleb Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the governor-elect of Plateau State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Idris Amali, the State’s Returning Officer for the governorship Elections had declared Mutfwang as the governor-elect in Jos. Amali announced that Mutfwang scored a total of 525, 299 votes while his closest opponent, Nentawe Yilwatda, of the All Progressive Congress (APC) scored 481, 370 votes. The LP candidate scored 60, 310 votes to place third.
