AbdulRahman-AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor, has won his re-election as the governor of the state for a second term in office.
Abdulrazaq of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the Saturday governorship election held in the state by Professor Isaac Itodo, the Vice-Chancellor, of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, who is the returning officer for the state governorship election, having scored majority votes in the election.
Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) declared that Abdulrazaq scored a total of 273,424 votes with his closest rival, Yaman Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scoring a total of 155,490 votes in the election.
AbdulRazaq won in all 16 local government councils in the state: Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Offa, Oyun, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Oke-Ero, Ekiti, Patigi, Edu, Kaiama and Baruten.
